Komune x Kozaburo Popup in Lower East Side, NYC.

We built the shack from scratch for an installation within the Komune store. We used a special chemical for rusting the sheet metal and a japanese technique called yakisugi to char the surface of the wood to achieve the darkness without painting or using a wood stain.

We hosted two different events: one for upcycling hats with our signature staples and a natural indigo dying workshop.
